Billings, Montana, tourism campaign pulled after ‘racism’ criticism
A Montana non-revenue is eradicating pieces of a tourism marketing campaign becoming criticized as insensitive to Indigenous Us residents and the history of violence towards tribes.
The Billings Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday requested billboards reading “Onward Pioneers” be removed, a single working day following a regional blogger stated the campaign demonstrates the “racism that exists in our community.”
